yesterday at snacktime...(a conversation between me and my 2 students -- 5 & 6 year olds)

jenny: i can speak bisaya. you want me to speak to you in bisaya?.....uno..dos..tres..quatro...
me: jenny, that's not bisaya. that's spanish.
brianna: jenny, that's spanish.
jenny: huh? i don't speak spanish!

"Teacher, I need to lie down...My knee is oooowwwie...I bumped it on the table"

"You cannot bring money to school. Only at Market Market"

"Teacher, she whistle (whisper) in ______'s ear."

"Ready...on your march, get set, Go!"

it's about 2 weeks before the start of workshop...can't wait!

...i've been mapping out my schedule as i now live independently....no car on weekdays....
...who'll be my classmates? will there be people from the previous workshops?
...what showcase will we put up?
...what "diet" will i go on considering the schedule i will have...work in the daytime, workshop at night
....talent night?!
....log roll!!!
....all the tiring but fun games!
...survival of the fittest will happen the end of workshop coz as it is, i have team-building thing happening on the day BEFORE the scheduled showcase....all the way in mt. pinatubo! and i can't skip either one! @_@

yep, i'm an addict. i watched 'bare' for the third time tonight. i wanted to see the closing show but i can't make it tomorrow...

anyway, we were seated on stage right so i can say that i pretty much covered the entire theatre watching the entire run from different parts of the theatre...haha! on preview night, we were downstage; on the 2nd show, we were on stage left; tonight, stage right. o, diba?

congratulations to everyone! SRO!

(tomorrow, or rather later, i'll post the pics...i have to get the cord thingy from the condo...)

i'm watching anthony bourdain's no reservations trip to the philippines....i'm getting hungry

so far, he's had fishballs, ginataang alimango, adobong hipon, pinakbet, pansit malabon, goat dishes - papaitan, kilawin, sinigang, nilagang kambing,- sisig, pwet ng manok, pako salad, kare-kare, adobong pugo, rellenong alimango, lechon, bagoong, dried fish/squid....

if you were to give anthony bourdain a food tour of the philippines, what would you feed him?

i am seriously craving for lechon now....

i watched 'bare' again. convinced ed and dax to tag along too. hahaha! (marzi! kahit bothered ka, aminin mong nag-enjoy ka rin :P)

this time around, i understood the play much better. i had been watching youtube clips and reading the script/lyrics since the preview.

...as like before, bibo played peter well. loved his singing! :D
...amos was much better. he was awesome! he just has this habit of throwing his head / jerking his body back. it can get a bit distracting.
...cassie (nadia) was still played out well
...delphine (ivy) sang quite well but seemed to lack some more emotion to her role/lines
...it was a bit difficult to understand nikko's rap



.......i've become an addict to 'bare'.........i want to watch again...and again...and again.....

keeping a couple of preschoolers entertained after a long day at school is pretty challenging. after drawing and talking and fooling around, they decide to get 'creative' and have tickle fest. so there i was, tickling 2 little girls enjoying their giggles and laughter when suddenly, one gets the idea of turning the tables....and thus tickling me!  so, i got pinned to the floor with their tickling (and at the same time trying not to hurt them). i tried to stand and avoid their little fingers but they were pretty quick and they got me to fall again and again for about 3 times.  after about 10minutes of this tickling game, they got tired and left giggling.  every time we'd be together, they teasingly wiggled their fingers and flashed their naughty smiles.

ahhh....nothing beats the laughter and fun with little kids.

hah! i had 8! yep, 8 guys!! yebah!! hahahaha!!

i started my valentine's/single awareness dayS with time spent with friends watching I LOVE YOU BECAUSE then hanging out. (go watch! it's till march 8 at onstage, greenbelt 1)

on valentine's day itself, i spent the morning with mom and ara then a good part of the afternoon with my 8 dates .  i watched the akafellas at their valentine's show in sm megamall.   after 29million years, i finally have a NEW picture with the gang! (minus Karl). i've always loved their music (even if i've heard them so many times already).


later in the afternoon, i headed for ateneo watch STAGES OF LOVE. the 5pm show had the original cast then the newer cast had a show at 8pm.  they were both good and fun. congrats to everyone!



ahh.....valentine's day hadn't too bad this year












....plus it made up for the crap i had to go thru the day before......

a friend posted a video of achmed the dead terrorist a while back. when i searched for it on youtube, it was more than 10 minutes long...

funny!!

it's not that i don't like the cold. its an excuse to use those long sleeved clothes and jackets :) the problem is, i'm sure it's going to be pretty hot come summer time :(

the thought of the end of the long vacation is looming :( to try to avert our attention from the sadness of the end of the break, i planned to get friends together for something, anything.

yesterday, i was able to gather the entourage and have a 'feast' of spam and rice at the condo. we then met up with the rest for coffee and donuts at krispy kreme (thanks, sunds!). we went back to the condo to watch a dvd and hang out some more (pinatayan kasi kami ng ilaw sa high street e...hehe). if it werent 3am, we would have hung out some more....

today, i had my family over at the condo for dinner. we had chili and hotdogs. i prepared everything then mom and tyke took over washing the dishes afterwards. we then took my ninong around high street and fully booked.

simple joys.

just when i thought everything was going smoothly as i cap 2008, my iPod dies. it had a frozen screen a week ago. i thought it just needed charging which i did do. it seemed fine after the charge. i didn't touch it again until today (3-4 days) and no matter how i tried, it just gave me a blank screen.

i was looking back at blogs i made over the year and the trend was that i was involved in a lot of theatre stuff. wheee!!! workshop, shows, the entourage....more! more!

then there's the move (though ever so slowly still) to the condo. i enjoy the independence. now that the climate is cooperating, walking to and from work makes me imagine that im in my own "manhattan" hahaha! hopefully, in 2009, im a more consistent 'resident' (with more spam & rice get-togethers...)
